Title: oil redirection on BSA lightning 650
Post by: stuart smee on 13 Aug, 2020, 11:11
Hello, Stuart from Tasmania/Australia. i have recently bought a BSA 650 lightning. Not running when i bought it. It has a Boyer Bransden electronic ignition. It had a broken wire under the engine cover R/H side near pic up. now fixed and getting spark.
when i removed the cover i discovered some strange plumbing added . I have added pics.
Can any one from the OLD country shed any light?? I'm stumped and lost.

its a home made crankshaft end feed conversion, is the bike running yet?

it would be interesting to see how the hose holds up under some oil pressure and heat!

;)

this topic might be better off in twins.
