Title: A65 Silencers
Post by: Kevev on 05 Aug, 2020, 12:54
Who makes the best silencers for the A65?

I've seen a lot of negative stuff for Armours and I remember many years ago buying a pair of Armours silencers for a 1966 A65 Lightning. The bike never seemed to feel right after I fitted them and didn't perform that well. I ended up buying another pair (and I cannot for the life of me remember who from) and the bike ran much better with them on it.

Your opinions and experiences would be much appreciated.

The best are ones made by Brituro in Birmingham. Top quality made to original spec etc. prices are at the top end but you wont buy better. They are stocked by the likes of Classic Bike Spares in Redditch, but try Kidderminster or C&D autos first. I have bought Armours in the past and I wouldn't recommend them.
