Title: Sloper Pistons
Post by: Mike Farmer on 04 Jul, 2020, 11:34
 :) :) :)

There should be the pictures of two Sloper pistons if I get this right. The domed one came out of the engine and is stamped Hepolite 1275   339
The flatter one came with the bike and is stamped C52 114AM 405 2687 Hepolex.

I would be obliged if someone could throw light on these. There is only a .006 clearance in the bore so I shall simply clean up--do an exact measure and put it back as was.

Hi Julian Thanks again.

I wonder what other people are using. If I use the high comp piston as its showing minimal wear it will go straight in; maybe only a bit of honing.

The flat one is a worn 81mm which would turn down to 80.5mm or back to 80mm and I can then have the barrell restored to fit. Back to factory standard.

I'm not overly concerned about performancre, Quandry??? any thoughts guys
