Title: Sloper Crank
Post by: Mike Farmer on 22 Jun, 2020, 12:25
 :) :) :)

Quick question. Is the oil pump worm drive a machined part of the crank or is it removeable.

I think part of the shaft, where removable the worm is part of the engine pinion.

That makes sense, thank heavens that I never tried to pull it. :)

Going to need Sloper flywheel riveted. Any suggestions or recommendations.

Any advice always welcome.

Hi Mike
I saw a picture of a crank that Alpha Bearings  had done which had new rivets on it , so possibly they might be able to supply them or do it for you . Worth  a phone call though

Yep Alpha will do it. The bearing is very poorly anyway so they will do it all together.

The worm drive on the sloper is separate,  part of the removable half timing gear on years 1927 to 1929.

From 1930 the worm was part of the crank
