Title: NGK Heat range
Post by: Matt Brighton on 17 Jun, 2020, 15:51
Hi

RGS Replica- just checking what consensus of opinion is on using an NGK plug - is BPR6ES ok or a bit too hot ?

Thanks

Matt

The Champion version should be N3 yes? If so you want a B8ES

The BPR is projected electrode

The gear grade 6 would be equal to an N5 and could potentially damage your engine if this is not what the manual calls for, although you could get away with B7 or N4 depending on your riding habits, but you'd be best with the correct plug.

Hi,
I use a NGK B7ES or Champion N4C with success.

Best wishes...

Thanks Chaps

Its a BP6ES (not BPR) -

Reason I ask is that I always have a stock on the shelf of new ones for my 1970 Mini Cooper S.

Its currently on Champion N4's ..... and I will replace with those as it runs well enough.

Thanks again - I really appreciate the advice Im getting here and am grateful to  yourselves and others for sharing what you know with me..
