A cheap paddock stand will do the trick, but for swinging arm bikes like ours, you need to remove the silencers first.

I was thinking that myself, it was very awkward getting it  off and had to remove the chain cover and completely remove the brake linkage which I wasn't expecting to do.

Plastic Beer crate, you can always butcher it. Strong as an Ox.

Hi Colin,

What type of hub does your bike have?  I think it should be a quick release type so should be easier than what you have described.  Even the full width hub has the facility to leave chain and sprocket in place.

 :) :) :) :)

Put the centre stand on about a 2" thick lump of board about 12" x 6" that will lift it high enuf.
