'morning,

I thought that the Spitfire tank was bigger than the standard one as I was thinking of fitting one for increased range between fills.  When I compared the one that I got it was not really any bigger.  The shape is different and that combined with the thickness of the GRP and the overlap around the edges makes it look a lot bigger.
A good bit of styling by BSA.
However, the lining kit will probably be enough anyway.

Dave.

Steel ones will hold more as they are made without the 'skirt'.
