Hi All
Can anyone answer a couple of questions about a 1950 b31 petrol tank
On the knee grip pads are the support plates screwed tight up to the tank
What is the sequence of the rubber washers, plain washer and frame lug, it's not clear from the parts book, on the rear fixings and are the stepped bolts done up tight.
Thank you
Dedge
Hi Dedge
Just took mine off to see whats there, I only have screws and the plate.
Another view
Regarding the tank bolts, one rubber washer either side of the frame lug.plain washer under the bolt head. Tight enough to grip the rubber and there should be a hole drilled through the head of the bolt for locking wire.
Hi Guy's
Thanks for the info, now got the tank all fixed.
But having trouble with the kneepads when I got the tank, a genuine one, there were no kneepads or plates so in the dark a bit.
Is the support plate screwed tight to the tank
My rubbers don't seem to fit properly are there some that are better than others or am I doing something wrong, the plates , rubbers and screws came from Dragonfly.
Thanks
Dedge
My pads have holes in them where the screw head is so once you have the pad on the plate it can be screwed up tight to the tank.
