Hi,
Thread will expand to a diameter approximately 0.14", 40 tpi. Batch roll them in stages as you form the thread and test them on the nipples you have would be the best option.

Best wishes...

thanks Bess, used to thread roll at work but machine has long gone.
hub has been powder coated and new rim but nipples wont go through rim and spokes wont go through hub so having to check which is right.

Hi Chaz,
I have a selection of used stainless spokes and chrome plated nipples if you are stuck.

Regards...

Hi Chaz,
From some records I stumbled on, if your bike has these hubs here are your spoke sizes (I think  :))):

7" full width cast iron with alloy brake plate. Spokes pt no. 42-5848. 40 off - 5 5/8" 9 gauge and straight with rim part number 41-6006
6" full width cast iron drum on fixed spindle. Spokes pt no. 41-6045. 40 off - 6" 10 gauge and straight with rim part number 41-6006

Don't think what I have will fit.

Best wishes...
