Title: 1966 A65 Hornet
Post by: Gordonh on 18 May, 2020, 08:02
Hi, restoring my bike I have found the centre stand lugs have been cut of to accommodate an aftermarket exhaust.Could anyone tell me the measurement from the frame rail to the centre of the hole that holds the centre stand, so I can fabricate and replace the lugs, cheers Gordon

Hi Gordon,
Pics, I forgot I have fitted the stand and spring I don't want to take if off a damage the paintwork. However the stand shaft hole passes within a couple of mm from the frame tubes. The lugs on the frame which limit the stand fit neatly against the stand stops.  Let me know what dimensions you need.

Best wishes...

Thanks for the pics they explain a lot, it's seems the only part of the stand brackets missing is the hole,it's been cut off at bottom of hole, the stand stops are still there.Ive ordered a stand but not due till week end.Only measurements I need is the outside diameter of the stand where the pin goes through it and how far the bottom of the bracket hole is off the cross tube.If you can help that would be great,if not I,ll wait till my stand arrives and see what I can do.Once again thanks for your time and help it's been invaluable.Cheers Gordon.
