Title: A50 rocker oil feed pipe
Post by: AdrianS on 04 May, 2020, 11:32
Plodding on with tidying up my A50

New ( later type) oil feed pipes fitted. Must admit quality of replacement not the best and required quite a bit of bending to fit.

WRT the rocker feed pipe, mine is not in the best condition and I can't seem to source one from the usual suppliers. Have thought about making one out of brake piping - I have got flaring tools. Anyone got experience of doing this?

Hi,
Yes, I silver soldered a nipple onto a length of Cupra Nickel. I had to open the nipple slightly for the pipe to fit, overall better material and worked a treat.

Best wishes...

What nipple did you have and use?
I must admit I did flare a bit of brake pipe and it appeared to fit the connector but not tried it with oil yet!

Hi,
I drilled out the copper from the original fitting. From the link below its a 1/8" BSP:
