Title: C15 Gear selector
Post by: Warden on 22 Apr, 2020, 18:03
I am looking for part number 40 -3033 selector forks for a C15 (1960). None of the parts sellers appear to have them.
has anybody got such a thing they could sell me or does anybody know someone who could recondition the existing ones?

yes that's the bits. Not cheap but then they appear to be the only people with them. Thanks for that

Well they are ordered but could be up to 2 years before they are ready
That's scuppered the plans a bit

Worth trying ebay you may find a servicable used one that way.

Or new old stock from USA but sit down to see the price;

when buying from ebay usa check the postage charges, some are high but recently I ordered some parts on their global charge system and you dont get charged any further import duties.

Re existing ones, find an engineering or fabricators shop and get the forks brazed up to take account of the wear and then dress them back to the right size. Not a hard job. You may even find the place that brazes them up may machine/dress them for you.

Hi. Some gear selectors have just been listed on ebay item no 324146374688. I don't know if any are for C15 but it's worth a look.
