Title: A65 Clutch
Post by: Mike Farmer on 12 Mar, 2020, 11:18
 :) :) :)

Greetings. I am in somewhat a quandry with fitting clutch cable. Something that I have done on numerous occasions But!!!

Engine is 1962

Hopefully I have attached a couple of pics to help to show what I'm talking about.

Did the early A65's have a straight cable to actuating arm connection via a ferrule in the rear of the casing??Because there is no way that I can fit the Tube (as shown)

So any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you both very much.

That is how I remember the layout of the parts(which are now on their way to me).

I thought that I might have to enlarge that orifice in order to take the sleeve, but I didn't want to go at it "willy nilly" without some basic info, especially as the bike is my son's

Just as a matter of interest: would it all work if I just used the small ferrule/spacer on to the end of the cable then directly into the rear of the casing. I imagine that's how they were "pre mod"

Again your assistance greatly appreciated
