Hi Hello all,  First time posting i have a 1960 A10 gold flash which i have owned for a few years i ride a load of different older bikes some American some British i have a 8 inch single leading shoe in the front i have got my hands on a full TWL 8 plate complete with shoes in very good nick my question is can i just change the plates over or do i need to replace the hub as well.
Any help would be great from some of the more experienced members would be great.

The tongue on the A10 forks is not really long enough to engage safely with the TLS plate. Other posts on the subject.

It can be done but needs a bit of work. The wide A65 type full width hub is better wider brake surface and more rigid than the A10 type.

On mine I built up the tongue with weld and reshaped it.
