Title: Clutch cable routing
Post by: MJM_58SR on 26 Nov, 2019, 09:40
Hi all
Would anyone be able to tell me which side the clutch cable should run on on a 1958 super rocket please.
Mine is currently routed over the head to the RHS and then crosses in the frame under the tank and  down the LHS then through the RHS gearbox/engine mounting plate triangular hole.
Thanks

For problems like these I always look on ebay and magnify the pictures, generally you will get a few the same if they have the same handlebars. Hope this helps.

My A10 cable from lever under tank on LHS over head then through the ski slope. Been like that since I bought it in 1973 and gives a smooth cable run. I dont fix it to the frame with tape or cable tie.

The run can be difficult if the cable is too long.

Thanks for the replies
Will have a look at some photos, try rerouting down the LHS and see how it goes.
The cable lengths match what is on the net etc. But I guess it also depends on handlebar height.
