Title: C15 front brake lining shims
Post by: TTJOHN on 08 Nov, 2019, 17:17
Hello.
Does anyone know where I can purchase some front brake shoe shims, for a 1966 6" full width hub, I have looked on e-bay but to no avail? If I can't buy a ready made set I will have to resort to making some myself.

Kind regards TTJohn

Try Kidderminster M/C's . I have a pair in the cave for an A65 that could be cut down if the shoes are similar.

I made them for my velo from an old ally baking sheet.
I would strongly advise against using those already in the kitchen. It can be terminal.

No shins fitted originally
You can get oversize linings fitted to brake shoes to improve braking contact area
