Title: C15 Ignition switch
Post by: Morleydog on 10 Oct, 2019, 07:37
Hello, I am new to the forum, so please bear with me.
I have just acquired a C15 and I was wondering if anybody knows which position is which.
There is central, anti clockwise and clockwise.
My guess is central Off, Clockwise On, Anti clockwise Emergency.
I have  tried to post 3 pictures but not sure if it has worked yet.
Thanks

Seems only one pic worked (anti clockwise)
Here is anti clockwise so cenral is between the two.

I believe central is off; clockwise is normal "On" and anticlockwise "emergency" - That's what it is on my B40!

I am completely baffled by this switch and looking at the switch towards the rear of the bike I have the three positions. Looking at the ammeter centre is off, clockwise is live and anticlockwise also live. Which way do I turn the switch - looking towards the rear of the bike - to turn it on.

What's confusing is the rubber that came with the new switch I have fitted. Looking to the rear of the bike again it shows centre being IGN, CW being Off and anticlockwise CW being On.
I am totally confused with this and what said in the forum so can somebody put me out of my misery please!

The c15 has 2 options on the switch
1 is normal on and this is where you should be running

2 is emergency starting , which is only used if your battery is flat ( you've left your lights on)

According to the manual , Emer can only be selected by depressing the key and turning clockwise.
(But I don't know , from which direction it is looking)
