As far as I have been able to find out, I think only Boyer Bransden do an EI for the distributor engines..but I could be wrong, there seem to be a number of different makes out there.

BB do at least two different types, or they used to, one inductive discharge which keeps the points but reduces the erosion on them by reducing the points sparking, and the other type which uses rotating magnets to trigger the spark.

I don't know if either actually increases the intensity of the spark at the plug, but if they keep working they should be fit and forget.

Following on from John's reply this is the 'full' version by BB that replaces the points and mechanical advance unit in the distributor models.
Other similar units may be available but I haven't come across one.

I've only just spotted this and might now use one on my SS90 - I think that para 20 might need to be challenged with some models though as the timing did vary between models even on the distributor engine.

Cheers,
Bernie

Running the boyer on my b40 ss90 . Works well. The only other I am aware of would be the electrexworld ignition. That would render your distributor unnecessary . You could leave it in place for originality  or blank it off if you preferred the look.  https://www.electrexworld.co.uk/acatalog/STK-100D.html
