Title: clutch release mechanism on B44.
Post by: boriscross on 26 Sep, 2019, 11:43
I would like to change the two parts on this, the lever 40-3285 and the pinion 40-3283 but I am having trouble parting the two components on both of the two outer timing covers I have. I assume that the pinion simply screws onto the shaft of the lever? Is this locked in some way or is it a left hand thread as I cannot loosen mine and don't want to force them too much? Cheers

You are correct in assuming it's a LH thread.. Good luck trying to part em, I had problems with mine but got there in the end..  HTH
