Can anyone help me please. I am looking for a genuine B50MX decompression lever (part number is 42-8611) but I cannot find one anywhere - this seems to be unique as it has a barrel shaped fitting at the handlebar end of the decompression cable and the new levers on sale seem to be designed for a spherical shaped fitting.
Did BSA change to the spherical end fitting on the cable (as opposed to a barrel shape at some time) and if I cannot get the genuine lever, is the advice to cut off the barrel shaped fitting on the cable and solder on a spherical fitting?
Any help appreciated.

Chaz, thanks for your post.
Please look at the decompression lever in the attached photo (behind the clutch lever). The barrel on the cable can clearly be seen in the lever - this is what I am looking for as opposed to what online suppliers which have a spherical fitting on the end of the cable.
Again, thanks for your post and any comments appreciated.
Regards,
is this the sort with or without ball end?
