Title: Is this the right kick stand?
Post by: Davidat19 on 21 Sep, 2019, 18:56
As the title...167 441 Victor R....when using the side stand the bike is almost vertical...doesn' t feel at all safe. About 10 inches long from pivot to tip, and no " prong" to reach it .

Hello David.. I've just measured the sidestand on my 1968 model B44 (Shooting Star) and the distance from pivot centre to lowest part of stand is 8 5/8". I believe mine to be correct dimensionally and the bike has a resonable lean when in use. HTH

EDIT!!  I have just checked the parts book for 1967 Victor Special NOT Roadster and the part number is different 40-4737 which may mean a different length? Can you see the casting number on the stand?
