Title: B40 F ignition timing
Post by: Briancale on 19 Aug, 2019, 15:25
Hi,1965 model.Trying to start, kickback & spitting through carb.Sometimes starts ticks over  & runs ok.Reckon ign timing too advanced but cant find definitive setting. It does have a blanking plug at the front of the primary chaincase into which a special tool to locate a notch on the flywheel can be screwed ref Haynes. This establishes the fully advanced position, should I set the points to be just opening at that point.I aint got the special tool though !
