Title: BSA C15 250cc 1967 oil leak
Post by: Tamesider on 12 Jul, 2019, 14:04
HI there,I had to remove the kickstart cover to replace the spring which had broken. While the cover was off I thought I would remove the gearbox side cover looking for this annoying small oil leak. After removing Boyer timing unit and all screws the side cover would not move more than an inch.Ended up putting it all back together and re-timing the engine.Any advice would be welcome.Regards JEFF.

To remove the gearbox end cover on the later engines ,the clutch has to be removed first, then the cover will come off complete with the gears
