Title: C15 clutch advise
Post by: Singleton on 14 Apr, 2019, 20:41
Hi
Struggling to get the clutch to operate  correctly.
New springs have been fitted but just can't get the adjustment right.
Any tips or hints welcomed.

Hi,
Have you looked at service sheets 59 and 64 in the members area?

Best wishes...

Calvin
Can you describe the fault.
It took me some time and fiddling to get my pressure plate running true.
If you can set up a pointer just clear of the plate this helped me see the runout.
Hope this helps.
Not got RR to hand
But will look it up if you don't have a copy.
Regards

DEPTH OF ENGAGEMENT IS IMPORTANT.
TOO SLACK - clutch slip.
too tight - hard to pull in.
springs must be equal adjustment - pull in the clutch lever, turn with kick start pedal.
Clutch shoudl be free to turn. outer plate runs true. if not, adjust screw until it is.
