Title: '34 Blue Star rocker box
Post by: David Samways on 14 Apr, 2019, 00:37
Slowly getting the engine back together on my Blue Star, however I find that the rocker box assembly is in very poor condition  :'(. The casting has been welded, which I can live with, but the rocker arms are both quite worn (spindles not too bad). I could internally grind out the rocker arms and fit bushes, but they've both been welded at the valve end and are no longer hard. Again, I could braze on some Stellite and reshape, but it's a lot of work.

I could really do with a complete replacement rocker assembly, but better rocker arms would do. The part numbers are 24-534 (inlet) and 24-542 (exhaust).
