Title: A10 SR camshaft bushes
Post by: Mitch77 on 08 Apr, 2019, 21:35
Hi all
Doing the bottom end on my SR at the mo and trying to stick to a tight budget ( yeah right lol )
SRM are doing the regrind and shells etc and supplying a new 356 camshaft & followers
I was going to replace the camshaft bushes with SRM supplied standard size
My question do I need to replace these ? and if so any tips on how to remove the old ones from the casings ?
Thanks
Mitch

Hi,
Here's a link to a A65 camshaft bush replacement which may help, they are similar to the A10.

Best wishes...

The cam bushes are quite hard wearing, the complication on replacing is the need to line ream.

I would try the new cam in the cases before deciding to replace.
