Title: Cylinder base gasket. 1962b40
Post by: Hancock on 01 Apr, 2019, 12:59
Hello, I have quite a bad oil leek when the bike has been running for 5or10 minutes. It would appear to be coming from the base of the cylinder so presume I need to replace the base gasket. Help please when I put things back together are there any other parts that need to be replaced. I ask because I would like to order all the parts before I start. Many thanks for your help.

I'd replace the rocker cover gasket too. The on you gave may break when cover remove.

I'd get a head gasket too incase it needs replacing.

I use wellseal on all my gaskets (other than the head gasket) as a extra precaution.

Wellseal is probably the best out there, could de-coke everything as well and do your tappets. Clean everything first. Could even spray the barrells, all good fun.
