Title: B31 down pipes
Post by: oorwullie on 04 Mar, 2019, 20:46
Hi all,
I'm rebuilding a 1956 B31 and I'm going to order an exhaust. The question is there any difference in the down pipes of the 1956 and 1958? Any advice would be great.

Cheers Wullie

I think the only differences are between the pipes for swinging arm and plunger models

if in doubt you could ask Armours   (https://www.armoursltd.co.uk/product-category/exhausts/bsa/350cc-bsa/)

Cheers

The parts books show that the 1954 - 57 models used a different part number pipe and silencer than the 1958-59 models. Silencer was a different shape.

Hi, thanks for the replies!
Armour said the down pipes are the same, as long as it is for a swing arm model.
Exhaust now ordered, hopefully it will fit!
