Title: A65 Clutch Bolts
Post by: Mike Farmer on 25 Feb, 2019, 19:12
 :) :)Hi all

A quick couple of questions for you to mull over if you would.

Referring to the enclosed photo. I know the bolts on the rear of the clutch basket should be wire locked but I cant find a definitive answer to whether they have washers under them. I'm aware space back there is very limited and don't want to get this wrong.

Second question Where can I get the "wire lockable" bolts.

Your input greatly appreciated

Hi Mike,
No washers required and have you tried SRM, they are oos but a phone call might turn some up.

Hi Bess :) :) :)

Thanks for that.
Yes Tried SRM and although they advertise them they are out off stock and "nothing ordered". So I'll carry on looking. Its a long way off the point of needing them for this particular job so no problem. What thread are they.

Hi Mike,
2 BA 1/2" long. Plenty on ebay that need drilling  ;)

easy enough to drill 1/16 or 2mm diameter hole either through the head or across a corner if you take it steady with a drop of oil. as I remember, no washer as can with a bit of run out rub mating parts

Brill. Just done the first couple earlier this morning. Waiting for other bolts to arrive. Don't think I'll take it up as a hobby.
