Title: BSA BM33 1955 Plunger - Burma returnee - shipping colours and battery box?
Post by: Barrieh on 18 Feb, 2019, 23:19

In the middle of a restoration of a 1955 BSA B/M33 20S 54xx plunger. I am about to get the parts painted up but I am confused.

I can see Olive green on mudguards (under layers of newer paint) but the frame is all black. The plunger suspension is chromed and I can see old Chrome on the wheels. Does anyone know what they shipped to Burma colour scheme wise? Any details of the contract would be helpful.

Also it has a battery box which is ... quite nice, and i have been told some others that returned to the UK from Burma also had these battery boxes.

Any help in the colour / chrome etc would be gratefully appreciated.
