Title: A65 Battery
Post by: robinfan on 10 Feb, 2019, 13:29
Recommendations please for a new battery for 64 A65 Star, standard ignition, occasional use. My local battery shop is saying YB7 A as a replacement for CB7 A but is trying to push the equivalent Motobatt.        Yuasa @ £36 Motobatt @ £47 are they worth the difference?

Thanks
Mark

I have a 9AH Yuasa battery on my 63 A65 Star, it has Pazon electronic ignition been on now for 4 years still OK.

It depends on the type of battery you want, a Lead Acid, AGM etc. I believe the Motobatts are all AGM and they do last a lot longer than lead acid, particularly if the bike is not used regularly like a lot of our old bikes.
