Title: Nut removal
Post by: ROYC on 25 Mar, 2017, 21:28
I am trying to remove the acorn nut from the end of the rocker shaft but the shaft just turns and the nut stays put.
Any one got a trick to lock the shaft so that the nut can be removed ?

Hi,
Can you take out the banjo oil feed from the other side of the shaft. Put a bolt with a locking nut in its place, use it to hold the shaft whilst undoing the acorn nut?

Good thinking, I will give that a go today (Sunday) & let you know how it goes.
(If I can find a nut to fit the bolt)
