Title: Round tank wheel
Post by: gautrek on 14 Dec, 2018, 23:38
Hello

I am in the process of trying to modify a (what i am told) is a 250 Round tank back wheel. My problem is i can't get the rear sprocket off. I can undo the locking nut but am unsure if the rear sprocket is either threaded on so needs unscrewing or is just a rusty tight fit on the hub.

can anyone help?

Cheers

Hi there

Just had a look at my round tank wheel (1925).
Yours is very very similar. But not from a round tank.

The spoking is very similar indeed.  But slightly different.
The rear sprocket on a round tank is held on with 6 nuts and bolts.
Your sprocket looks too big too.

I'll try to attach a photo of mine for you.
