Title: 1959 C15 - valves
Post by: brians on 25 Nov, 2018, 13:21
I stripped out the valves today.
One is very loose in its guide and the other is "stepped" at its head. Also their tops have worn concave from the tappet - one more than the other.
It seems to make sense to buy a new pair but Rupert Ratio is less than complimentary about after-market valves so I am looking for a recommendation plesae. Assuming it isn't possible to source genuine BSA valves any longer, what is recommended please? I see Hepolite ones advertised on eBay - is that a reliable make?
Thanks in advance for any advice  :)
Brian

Just noticed your post.
I have (I think) a set of valves which came as part of my bike purchase.
From memory good used condition.
If you are interested I will look them out?
Regards
