Post by: Wayne Richards on 23 Nov, 2018, 18:31
Can anyone help me.
How many clutch plates has a C15 1965 have.
Some diagrams show 9 some 8 ?
Also which plate is the front one ie friction or the steel one.
Regards
Wayne.

C15 has 4 bonded plates and 5 plain plates.

First plate into clutch is a plain one, then bonded and so on. Last one will be plain then the pressure plate.

Many thanks for your quick reply.
Would you recommend me to replace the friction plates whilst stripped down.
Regards
Wayne.

Check condition of all the plates, including checking the ears for burrs and check the chainwheel for indented slots.

Only replace if they look worn or plates not flat.
