Title: C15 Head Gasket
Post by: Liendrof on 02 Nov, 2018, 10:33
Hi
I am new to classic bikes, having recently purchased a C15s I have noticed that the head gasket is blowing.
Has anyone got advise and tips for changing it please.

I started but the first there is only sufficient room for an open ended spanner and it started to slip on the nut

sometimes a metric spanner will be a tighter fit . Ive , in the past , ground a metric spanner to be a tap on fit to get something loose .

Thanks may try that.
Does warming the engine make any difference?

heating the actual nut would help but warming the engine may make it even tighter . I would replace those nuts once you get them off .
