Title: A7 engine from1954
Post by: Old Biker on 15 Oct, 2018, 15:40
Hi All
This may seem like an odd question but I'm looking at a project which is an early 1954 engine, CA7***, the DVLA paperwork calls it a Shooting Star which seems at odds to the info on engines on the BSAOC site. The engine does have an alloy head, can anyone shed any light for an old biker?  :-\

Shooting Star engines had prefix CA7SS.

Whether the bike was or was not originally a Shooting Star depends on the frame and what it was despatched as. Could be a Shooting Star frame with a standard A7 engine.

I will send you a PM.
