Title: B31 Odd frame number
Post by: staffs on 15 Sep, 2018, 21:18
Hi , Please dont fall about the place with this one. I have bought a B31 with a Gold Star top end and one or two other nice bits fitted. Ok so far. BUT it has an odd frame number. The frame has clearly been filed and then stamped P318. Three totally unconnected people, two of whom are club members have suggested it might be a prototype or some kind of development frame.
Any one out there have any thoughts on this please?
The bike came from a collection of a life long enthusiast and collector in the Stoke on Trent area. Some of you in the area may have known him Roland Gorman.
The bike has great potential and I do intend to sell it or dismantle it when I have some more information on this anomaly.
I believe now DVLA will issue a new number to stamp the frame with so a new V5 can be issued so all is not lost.
Look forward to your thoughts and info.
Cheers Staffs
