Title: Do I have the right model of mudguard for my Sloper 350 from 1930?
Post by: robert_c on 28 Aug, 2018, 20:23
Hi,
My mudguard has no smooth transition to the splash guard I saw on other Sloper.
The splash guard seems to be riveted together with the mudguard.

Regards
Robert

I can't answer your question direc tly but my 1930 500 has the gently splayed type, not the type you are showing.
Personally I would not get hung up about it. The type you have was fitted to BSAs of the period and at nearly 90 years old an honest bike is likely to have had some changes in its life. I'd fit what you've got if its originaly rather than find one that looks right but might not be. After all, as you can tell by the lack of  responses to your post, how many people would know? :)
Of course, if you insist on going conkers its a different matter. ;)

Your mudguard does look like the one in the 1930 parts book.

There was also an open type available.
