Post by: A10 JWO on 27 Aug, 2018, 15:43
I am looking at a D7 Engine number on ebay, No. FD7 8164. My 1963 D7 is showing the Engine number as FD8 26485, what engine have I got please. My Frame is D722***. Thanks.

The Ebay engine would be a 1964/65 model with rectified lighting.

No Bantams made with FD8 engine prefixes.

26485 too high for the FD7 series which finished at about 11000 in November 1965.

Frame D7 22*** is from the 1961 season - between September 1960 and September 1961, copy of Glass'scheck book attached for your info.

Hi Julian. Thanks for reply. Unfortunately I don't have access to the bike,it is in storage. I have my V5 in front of me, clearly states FD 8 ? Possibly a DVLA Typing error. ?
