Title: 1934 Blue Star 500 age related registration worries
Post by: David Samways on 18 Aug, 2018, 10:29
I'm just about to finalise the deal on the '34 Blue Star mentioned in a previous post, but knowing that the club hold the factory records it suddenly worried me that if the frame and engine didn't start life together that I may have a problem getting an age related plate.

Do I need to worry? Pics of the numbers attached.

The 1934 500cc W34-9 Blue Stars models had frame with prefix B4 and engine with prefix B9.

There is a good chance that they are a factory matched pair anyway, so dont worry.

Thanks for the reassurance. My worry was principally because the bike started off as a bit of a basket-case. See pic.
