Title: A65 engine
Post by: Mike Farmer on 24 Apr, 2018, 21:17
 :)
Hi.
Just getting to the nitty gritty of rebuilding A65 engine from lotsa bits.
The crank I obtained appears to have been made with only one sludge trap plug--size 7/8 x 20tpi (Unless someone has welded one end up unlikely because the crank has never been reground).
Everything else about the crank appears normal???????????????
I have no info on this item so your input would be of great value.

One trap, one tube. Can be a sod to get out, replace both parts; not expensive. Kidderminster M/C's. Keep up the commentary.

The cranks were changed to just one plug from 1964.

Service sheet 112 introduced the change. Other changes came later.
