Title: 1950 B31
Post by: DEDGE on 20 Feb, 2018, 15:36
Hi All
More help for my 1950 B31 please.
In one end of the big end crankpin is a grub screw, what does it do and does it need to come out and be cleaned behind.
On the drive side crank shaft is a ball race, spring ring, distance collar, roller race and oil flinger BSA list a engine shaft shim 66-661. Were does this go there wasn't one on there when I stripped it.
All the best
Dedge

I think the washer goes into the crankcase bearing recess before the ball bearing is inserted.
