Title: B40 side points 4CA base plate
Post by: Phil C on 15 Feb, 2018, 18:13
Anybody had difficulty fitting the 4CA points base plate because of the condenser wire connection nut catching on the wall? If so, how did you get the base plate to fit in the hole?  Elongate the screw clearance hole at the other end of the condenser holder? I'm not sure that will make enough difference.  Phil (novice)

Actually, I think I might have a cunning plan. If I file part of the edge of the large slot above which the condenser sits, I might then be able to just swivel the condenser housing a little bit, just enough to solve the problem perhaps...

On my b40wd, the condenser is very close, but there is a shield (some sort of plastic,) that fits? And insulates it.

Thanks. I think the filing has worked.
