Title: BSA 1961 A10 side stand & lifting handel

Hi has anyone got a sidestand and lifting handle I need one for the A10 I own.

The 1961 models (GA7 frame) did not have a lifting handle as standard. You can fit one from the earlier models but you need to drill an extra hole in the rear mudguard to mount it.

Many thanks for that info -having seen them fitted to other A10`s and I am getting older seems a helpful mod !!  Chris

Try a block of wood under the tyre to get it on the stand.

Just to advise I have located a Grab handel and now fitted, but still looking for a side stand.

I put one of those clamp on side stands on my GF, did not work, would not grip the frame. They need brazing on without damaging the crankcase.

Yes I have heard this before, it may be down to the tube size being slightly different to the casting. Probably worth checking the frame dia against the casting before fitting. If not secure you could end up with the bike on the floor.

For my A10 I am only looking for an original that bolts to the frame bracket.
