Got most of the wires sorted on this dip switch. Horn works, flasher button ok. On a resistance test I cannot get anything on the BLUE wire which goes up to another switch ( 11 ) according to a wiring diagram in the Haynes Manual. I am testing from the WHITE inside the switch to all contacts. It would seem that the white is common live. Not my best subject ? Thanks. If anyone has a decent colour or a better diagram, please post it.
Photos 1 and 2 from the OIF workshop manual may help with the left and right bar switches wiring.
Third photo is wiring diagram from 1972 owners manual.
Haynes manual can be a bit too general for some things.
Thanks Julian. I can now see why I am not getting a reading, all seems well. I have spent the last hour looking at new switches, don't need one now. Have a nice weekend.
Ignition Switch:- 1972 A65L OIF..Just joined the forum , so appoligies, not sure quite how to post, anyway can anyone confirm that the ignition switch is supposed to have two positions, I only get the ignition light on on the first turn , nothing happens on the second . What is it for, just parking lights or is it the wrong switch. Cheers K
No it has 4 positions. Lots of information in owners and workshop manuals.

I'd like to know this too. Mine only has 2 positions. 1971 Lightning.
I am looking at new Lucas 4 position switches for my OIF. They are about £42 new. Looking at the 2 position, it will work and is cheaper. Do you really need a parking light ?
1/ Parking light- 2/ Off-3 / Ign -4/ Ign with lights.
You need at least a 3 position i.e 2,3&4 otherwise you need a separate light switch elsewhere in the loom which of kind of defeating the object.
A replica Lucas LU 35351 is £13.95 including lock and two keys at Feked.com , cheap as chips! The replica doesnt allow you to take the key out when on parking light (which you dont need anyway nowadays, so I don't connect up to the tag that powers that. Benefit of this is you dont leave the parking light on in daylight without realising and drain your battery.
