Title: Insurance cost B31
Post by: Janacek on 08 Oct, 2026, 09:40
Got my insurance renewal quote today.I'm with Footman James, the price this year ís £198. Sounds rather steep to me.
Is this about the average cost?

How many bikes and what agreed value? I've found Howden (formerly RH) and Peter James the best value and most knowledgeable.

Without stating the obvious, are the two policies identical? Cheapest isn't always the best.

Hear that,
My bike is registered as a historical so in Poland it is Yellow plates.
Basic Civilian Responsibility is 10£/year.
What's the best you do not have to buy unless you are sure you ride it.

Don't you have same or similar way in UK for historical motorcycles?

Dan

I've got a multibike policy with Carol Nash for same rate as the OP had for his and is pretty reasonable, IMO.

Of course do have TPFT to make sure that if something happens in an accident I keep the remains!
