Title: Wire
Post by: Barnsey on 20 Sep, 2026, 13:46
I am fed up with finding that parts of my bike loom have been replaced with blue and brown.  Now, I may well end up buying a new loom anyway, but does anyone know where I can get the right colours of 14swg wire for patching my bike loom?

I use 1mm square (rated at 16.5 amp) thinwall. Available from vehicle wiring products or my local supplier. All the colours you could want.

Thanks for the link. I normally use Autosparks but another supplier is useful.

This modern thin wall cable works really well as you can get it through holes easier and they do a plastic tape that embossed to look like cloth. Very convincing.
