Title: 1970 A65T
Post by: watts on 27 Aug, 2026, 21:59
I need to paint the top and bottom yoke black. I have stripped them back to bear metal.
I was wondering what to use, maybe Hammerite or an etching primer, black paint and a clear coat.
Its an every day ride and is showing its age elsewhere.
Any recommendations or experience.
Thanks
Matthew

Rattle can etch primer then black.  If you are doing the frame then tractor enamel is good, its tough, can be sprayed and sticks well over an etch primer, also brushes well for small parts. But it takes forever to dry.
