Title: Wiltshire camp, Thanks
Post by: TTJOHN on 21 Jul, 2026, 12:00
Thanks to the Wiltshire branch on their weekend camp at The Barge Inn. It was a fantastic if unusual site, alongside the Avon Canal, a very laid back camp which was very enjoyable and relaxing, we arrived on Thursday and got set up in the hotel Vango, before the crew arrived, facilities were there and close at hand.
We had a great ride out on Saturday and I was surprised with the running of my Golden Flash as this was the first outing on it this year, just one hick up when the side stand gave way and I almost dropped the bike, unfortunately the destination of the ride out was the REME museum at Lyneham we could not do as they had a broken boiler in the canteen, so that was closed (you'd have thought that REME could have fixed that) but they have been known to wreck things in the past.
All in all it was a great event. many thanks to Paul Lomberg and his crew for the successful camp and all those that attended.
